QUESTION: Dear Dr.,

First, Thank you

I am 48 Years old and never have any prostate problem.My question: Is it neccessary for me to do prostate massage?

If yes, how many times per week?

I feel very nice feeling when my wife put her finger in my put.

Does this mean I am not normal?

ANSWER: Hi Ahmad,

When we are talking about prostate massage in here, we are concentrating on those patients with prostate problems who need to massage or milk the prostate and relieve the respective symptoms.

Prostate milking is included in the treatment scheme of patients having problems with enlarged prostate, prostatitis and in certain cases with prostate cancer.

This procedure is not recommended to be conducted by inexperienced individuals, although they are of medical team.

With regards to normal or healthy people like you, I would suggest Not to massage the prostate as long as you are married and have a normal sexual life.

You are saying that you practice certain sexual or massage activities with your wife. I agree that this is your right. However, I would say that it is also very, very risky.

When the practices with finger are involved, especially in non experienced people like your wife, you are risking to have many side effects (many problems will spring out).

They will include the local damages to the anatomical structures (anus, prostate, etc), infection, cancer, or other problems.

Keep in mind that this does not mean that you are not normal, however, every mean and practice has its own limit. If you practice within the normal limits of a sexual activity, you and your wife will not have problems.

Therefore, my only advice is to obey to the laws of the nature. You do not need to milk or massage the prostate as long as you are a healthy, married men with a normal sexual activity, which provides you the pleasure of a prostate massage.
